Leeds CC v S
Led Junior in complex care proceedings acting for mother with learning difficulties in relation to 10th child of the family who had been removed at birth. Mother had previously been convicted of manslaughter of the 8th and 9th children of the family on the evidence of Professor Meadows. Conviction successfully appealed. Issues of alcoholism, sexual abuse and ability to protect 10th child.
H v T
Complex and ongoing residence and public law proceedings acting for father where mother has made multiple allegations of sexual abuse. No findings against father following several finding of fact hearings. Findings of emotional harm against mother. Child currently placed with paternal grandmother under ICO. Disposal of father’s residence application listed October 2010.
M v B
Child abduction to Pakistan. Successfully argued against immediate return under the protocol due to the mother’s particularly vulnerability. Court ordered investigations into welfare to be conducted in Pakistan.

Representation of father facing allegation of rape of stepchild. Consideration of Re W [2010] UKSC 12 and courts approach to children giving evidence in family cases. Successfully argued for evidence to be given.
