Practice

Has practised in all aspects of family law since commencement of practice in 2000.

Has a particular interest and expertise in Matrimonial Finance and Trusts. Has more recently been instructed and had conduct of numerous cases involving assets in excess of six figures involving complex issues relating to assets derived from limited companies, partnerships, foreign assets and assets in multiple ownership.

In public Law cases – has experience in complex cases involving the attempted murder of a child by drowning, sexual abuse cases and severe physical abuse. Has acted regularly for both parents and Local Authorities.

In private Law matters – has developed an interest in, and gained extensive experience of, international child abduction and cases relating to applications to remove children from the jurisdiction permanently for the purposes of emigration and cases involving holidays to non Hague Convention countries.

Other Information

Has experience of conducting appeals in the Court of Appeal and has regularly appeared in the High Court.

Was counsel in Re H (a child)[2005] EWCA Civ 1404, [2006] 1 FLR 943.

Was Counsel in Gull v Gull [2007] EWCA Civ 900.

Has frequently acted for both Local Authorities and Police forces in Public Interest Immunity cases in the family courts.

Provides in house training seminars for specialist law firms.

Has also acted in cases involving leasehold enfranchisement and Land Registry matters.

Has appeared regularly in the Employment Tribunal.

Will consider taking non-family civil cases on novel and unusual points of law.

Is a member of the FLBA.
