In 2001 she was employed as a legal support worker for a Bradford based domestic violence project, ‘Staying Put’, offering legal advice and support to victims of domestic violence.
She completed her pupillage at Cloisters, London in 2003. Following this she worked in the litigation unit of Liberty.
In 2008 she was appointed to the Bar Council’s Equality and Diversity Committee.

Bar Pro Bono Unit.
