Members of the Team have an experience in all areas of personal injury litigation acting for both claimants and defendants in simple damage claims arising from road traffic litigation to more complex industrial disease and clinical negligence matters.

Members of the Civil Team recognise that personal injury work has changed in recent years in terms of its administration, funding and procedural arrangements. Expectations of the service provided by counsel have also changed. The Civil Team is organised so that it can cope with the modern expectations of quantum and liability work; the need for accurate and realistic assessments, and for cost effective and efficient working practices. The timescale for the return of advices and pleadings is constantly monitored and enforced.

Where appropriate members of the Team undertake work on a conditional fee basis.

Other areas where members of Chambers have specific experience include Chancery, Insolvency, Professional Negligence, Landlord & Tenant, Commercial Litigation, Taxation, Housing, Inquests and Mental Health. Details of the relevant experience and expertise of individual members of Chambers can be obtained from the Civil and Family Clerking Team.
