Broadway House Chambers is pleased to announce the appointment of David Jones as Head of Chambers.
Mr Jones takes over the reins from Graham Hyland QC after 13 years in the role. Called to the bar in 1985, Mr Jones has a high profile employment, judicial review and civil litigation practice and has appeared in many precedent-setting cases. He has been a member of Chambers throughout his career and is due to appear in the Supreme Court in January 2012 in the case of Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police v Homer.
Mr Jones was appointed on 7th December 2011. “It is an honour to take over from Graham as Head of Chambers”, he said, “and I am hopeful for the future. At Broadway House Chambers we have a vast and diverse array of talent and have always striven to provide a quality service to the community. If, when I hand over the post to my successor, Chambers is as successful as it is today I feel I will not have let Graham down.” Graham Hyland QC will continue to work from Chambers in his established leading criminal law practice as well as in his judicial capacity as a Recorder.
