    R v Brian King [1999] Crim LR 496 (Murder, Led by James Stewart QC)
    Following his conviction King appealed to the Court of Appeal, Criminal division. In July 1998 appeared at the appeal on his behalf against leading counsel instructed by the prosecution and without a leader myself. Following legal argument, the convictions were quashed. Appeared at the re-trial in February 1999, led by Graham Hyland QC. The case is now a leading authority on withdrawal from joint enterprise murder
