Giles has a mixed practice including both prosecution and defence work. He is a Grade 3 CPS Prosecutor and a member of the Attorney General’s panel of prosecuting counsel. Giles' expertise stretches across all areas of crime but he is well-known as being Counsel of choice in cases involving young and vulnerable defendants and in prosecutions surrounding computer-related crime and offences committed on the internet.

Formerly a serving officer with West Yorkshire Police, Giles Bridge was a trainer in drugs investigations within the organisation, and he wrote and delivered the Chemist Inspection Officers’ course introduced as a result of the Harold Shipman serial killings. This experience in the service has equipped Giles with a detailed knowledge of Police procedures in relation to disclosure, intelligence and surveillance.
