Sharn Samra Appointed Circuit Judge by His Majesty The King

Broadway House Chambers is proud to announce that Sharn Samra has been appointed as a Circuit Judge.

The official announcement has been made today by the Courts & Tribunals Judiciary Department after the royal warrant had been signed by His Majesty the King.

The announcement reads:

‘The King has appointed Sharn Samra to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-upon-Hull Combined Court, with effect from 10 November 2025.

Background Information
Sharn Samra will be known as Her Honour Judge Samra. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2002. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2020 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2021.’
