Jayne Beckett and Abigail Langford Involved in Prosecution and Defence for Death by Dangerous Driving in Bradford


Jayne Beckett and Abigail Langford acted for the prosecution and defence in a Death by Dangerous Driving case in Bradford.

Ahmed and Spalding received a combined sentence of 20 years and 11 months for causing a fatal car accident that claimed the life of an 18-year-old mother.

The incident occurred on 3rd January 2023 and the sentencing took place on 9th May 2025 at Bradford Crown Court. Jayne Beckett was prosecution counsel and Abigail Langford was defence counsel for Ahmed.

Spalding was driving the car and only had a provisional licence. Ahmed was operating the gearstick from the passenger seat. Both had prior convictions for other offences.
