Lydia Pearce Secures Convictions for Arson, Perverting the Course of Justice and Burglary
Lydia Pearce, instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service, secured guilty verdicts on all 4 counts on the indictment against Mohammed Mobasher at Bradford Crown Court.
Mr Mobasher stood trial for offences relating to the burglary and subsequent arson of the Bradford Tile Centre and the burglary of the Rawal Takeaway. She successfully adduced evidence of the defendant's previous convictions and was greatly assisted by the work of West Yorkshire Police who obtained forensic and CCTV evidence which was key in convincing the jury to return unanimous guilty verdicts after 1 hour of deliberation.
Mr Mobasher was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months immediate custody.
