Stephen Wood KC Prosecutes Habibur Masum, Sentenced to Life for the Murder of his Wife
Stephen Wood KC, instructed by the CPS Complex Casework Unit, secured a conviction in June.
Habibur Masum stabbed his 27-year-old wife to death in April 2024 26 times whilst she was pushing her baby in a pram in Bradford.
Following the incident, the defendant boarded a bus, during which CCTV footage captured him appearing to smile.
Masum was sentenced today and received life imprisonment with a minimum term of 28 years.
Massum was also charged with assault by beating, threats to kill, stalking and possession of a bladed article.
