Stephen Wood KC Obtains Acquittal for Client Accused of Historic Sexual Allegations 


Stephen Wood KC leading Simeon Evans of St John's Buildings Chambers and instructed by Mohammed Farooq of Hurrairah Harris, Solicitors, Halifax, represented 'M' before Bradford Crown Court.

M stood trial on allegations of rape and 3 offences of sexual activity with a child arising out of West Yorkshire Police's Operation Hazelshot.

The offences were alleged to have taken place at an address in Halifax nearly 20 years ago when 'M' was aged in his early 20's. The complainant 'B' was a child aged about 15 years at the time.

The defendant was acquitted of all counts following a trial lasting 6 days.
