Sentencing Takes Place in Cannabis Farm Raid Shooting Prosecuted by Stephen Wood KC and Camille Morland
Stephen Wood KC and Camille Morland prosecuted a trial before the Recorder of Sheffield, who imposed sentences exceeding 30 years for 4 men involved in a shooting during an attempted robbery of a cannabis factory. During the attack one of the victims was stabbed and shot whilst the other narrowly avoided serious injuries when a bullet ricocheted off his mobile phone. Neither of the victims in fact had any involvement in the cannabis factory.
Paul Oates was jailed for 32 years, with Callum Rogers, Oliver Jebson and Samuel Jebson each receiving 31-year sentences. All were found guilty of two counts of attempted murder and one count of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
