Syam Soni Secures Acquittal in Class A 'County Lines' Drug Dealing Proceedings
Syam's client was accused of being the 'matriach' of a 'county lines' drug dealing operation which involved the transportation of Class A drugs and cash from Essex to Canterbury. The drugs were then supplied via a dedicated line.
There were 3 other defendants charged alongside Syam's client, all of whom pleaded guilty.
Syam's client maintained that she was not involved in any illicit activity, and disputed the prosecution case, which relied upon expert evidence relating to drug supply, incriminating messages, and ANPR evidence.
Syam's client was acquitted by the jury in under an hour at Canterbury Crown Court.
Syam was instructed and assisted by Imran Khan of Empire Law.
Syam is a specialist criminal defence barrister who has a nationwide practice defending some of the most serious offences.
