Syam represented a man accused of possession with intent to supply wholesale quantities of Class A drugs. 

Notwithstanding the character and expert evidence, the jury unanimously acquitted Syam’s client.

Syam represented a young man accused of possession with intent to supply two types of Class A drugs at Leeds Crown Court.

The defendant was acquitted within 10 minutes.

Syam’s client was the only defendant to be acquitted of the human trafficking/modern slavery offences, instead being convicted of only the cannabis production. 

Defendant was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court on the 4^th of August 2025.

R v Graham Allan Dowling - Gerald Hendron successfully prosecutes the Attempted Murder

Poole was deemed unfit to stand trial and given an indefinite hospital order following a jury determination that she did the act of causing his death.

Jayne Beckett was prosecution counsel and Abigail Langford was defence counsel for Ahmed.

Through careful cross-examination of the complainant, and a thorough review of telephonic material, Syam exposed various defects with the prosecution evidence, resulting in an unanimous acquittal.
